South Africa Tour 2008

In February 2008 a mixed age junior team from Stone Cricket Club embarked on a two week tour to Capetown in South Africa.

The tour was highly successful with the team winning two games, narrowly losing another two and being convincingly beaten in a third. This part due to them fielding a junior South Africa international. South Africa teams are reknown for their strength and this was a creditable performance.

In addition to playing cricket the team learnt much about the culture in this part of the world and assisted in coaching some young players in the Kaylesha Township.

If you want to read more about the tour, see photos and express interest in the 2009 Tour, then visit the Stone Saxons website.
